sports medicine.

DR. JERRY W. HIZON

MD · Family Medicine & Sports Medicine

Dr. Jerry W. Hizon earned his degree in Biology from Loyola Marymount University and completed his medical education at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine from UC San Diego.

Dr. Hizon spent 14 years serving as the medical team physician for the San Diego Chargers, and for the past 28 years has been a volunteer team physician for Temecula Valley High School. In 2009, he was recognized as the “Sports Medicine Champion” by the San Diego Sports Medicine Foundation, and earned the Distinguished Citizen of the Year award for Temecula in 2015.

He serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UC Riverside School of Medicine, is a medical advisor for the Temecula Physician Leaders Program, and is a member of the Board of Governors for Temecula Valley Hospital.
